About the Museum of Jewish Heritage — A Living Memorial to the Holocaust
The Museum of Jewish Heritage – A Living Memorial to the Holocaust is New York’s contribution to the global responsibility to never forget. The Museum is committed to the crucial mission of educating diverse visitors about Jewish life before, during, and after the Holocaust. Anchoring the southernmost tip of Manhattan, the Museum of Jewish Heritage completes the cultural and educational landscape it shares with the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island.
Since 1997, the Museum of Jewish Heritage has welcomed more than two million visitors; it maintains a collection of 30,000 artifacts, photographs, documentary films, and survivor testimonies and contains classrooms, a 400-seat theater (Edmond J. Safra Hall), special exhibition galleries, a resource center for educators, and a memorial art installation, Garden of Stones, designed by internationally acclaimed sculptor Andy Goldsworthy.

About Holocaust Museum LA
Founded in 1961, Holocaust Museum LA, the first survivor-founded and oldest Holocaust museum in the nation, houses the West Coast’s largest collection of Holocaust-era artifacts. We teach students and visitors the critical lessons and continued social relevance of the Holocaust, empowering them to stand up and speak out against antisemitism, bigotry, and hatred.
The Museum offers award-winning architecture; a unique focus on history through the LA lens; docent-led and self-guided customized tours in English or Spanish; creative educational programs; and intergenerational conversations with Holocaust survivors. Our high-tech, artifact-rich exhibits include USC Shoah Foundation’s Dimensions in Testimony that allows visitors to have a virtual conversation with a Holocaust survivor using a hologram and voice recognition software.
Admission is free for all students and youth 17 and under. We also provide bus transportation grants for schools where field trips would otherwise be cost prohibitive.

About the Holocaust Memorial Tolerance Center
The Holocaust Memorial Tolerance Center (HMTC) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit educational organization, dedicated to educating students and the community about the atrocities of the Holocaust and the importance of tolerance and respect for all people. Our center serves as a valuable resource for school programs, lectures, training, and other educational opportunities.
Our tours provide a powerful and emotional experience, allowing visitors to learn about the devastating impact of the Holocaust and the lessons that can be learned from it. The exhibit features seven galleries that take you on a journey through history, from life before the Holocaust to its aftermath and the valuable lessons we can learn from it. Each gallery is thoughtfully designed to provide an immersive experience, with artifacts, photographs, and documents that bring the stories of those affected by the Holocaust to life. Our knowledgeable staff is always on hand to answer any questions and provide additional insight into the exhibits.
We also offer a variety of educational programs for students of all ages, teachers, nurses, and police cadets, including age-appropriate workshops and presentations.
